Interiors and collections
The Oak Hall: library and music room
The St Petersburg Music House identifies the Oak Hall as a surviving historic interior formerly used as a library and later as a small concert room. This change of function connects the family’s domestic life with the palace’s musical use.
The Mirror Hall and aristocratic collecting
The Mirror Hall served as a ballroom and concert setting. The Music House highlights its acoustics and records the family’s interest in music, theatre and literature, alongside collections of paintings, porcelain and silver that decorated the palace. These historical collections should not be mistaken for a verified list of objects on display today.
Concert access and a palace tour
The Music House’s official venue page provides concert listings and ticket information for the Mirror Hall. Its series Young Performers of Russia has used the hall since 2006. A concert ticket establishes access to that event, not an unrestricted tour of the Oak Hall or other palace rooms. Check the programme and separately confirm any sightseeing arrangements.
