Qawsun / Yashbak Palace

The monument associated with Amir Qawsun and later Amir Yashbak is a genuine Mamluk palace. CULTNAT describes it as a functional palace connected with high military office. It belongs in NRP because its occupants were elite amirs, not reigning sultans.

Amir Alin Aq Palace

Built in 1293 for the Mamluk emir Alin Aq al-Husami, this is another authentic palace whose title “Amir” can easily mislead a modern search into treating it as royal. It is not.

Ismail Pasha al-Mufattish Palace

Built between 1866 and 1874 for the powerful official Ismail Pasha Sadiq al-Mufattish, the building is an excellent modern-era control case. “Pasha” and a palace do not by themselves establish dynastic royal provenance.
