Verified Existence, Incomplete Architecture
The official Presidency biography of Ibrahim Pasha explicitly lists Al-Qasr Al-Aly among the palaces he built in Cairo. The surviving public record is not yet sufficient to assign a precise construction date, plan or modern site.
A Name Collision
The same official biography also mentions a steam-powered sugar-refining establishment known as “Al-Qasr Al-Aly.” The industrial establishment and the palace must not be silently merged. Royal Palaces therefore records the palace as verified while keeping localisation and architectural reconstruction open.
Why It Matters
This is exactly the kind of lost residence that a provenance-based registry can preserve without inventing missing detail.
