Hassan Fouad Pasha Al-Manasterly
Pasha / governor / palace commissioner
Palace construction: 1851
Who they were
Hassan Fouad Pasha Al-Manasterly commissioned his residence on Rawda Island in 1851. Cairo Governorate identifies him as a governor during Saeed Pasha’s rule. His name connects the surviving decorated reception building to a larger private complex that once included domestic quarters, service spaces, stables and gardens. The present monument represents only part of that household’s original estate.
