RPR-TUR-032 · FOREIGN DYNASTIC WATERFRONT PALACE
Emine Valide Pasha Waterfront Palace
A Bosphorus palace that moved from Ottoman elite ownership into the residential world of Egypt's Muhammad Ali dynasty.
The Bebek property had an earlier Ottoman elite history before entering Egyptian dynastic ownership. Historical research links Abbas II Hilmi and his mother Emina Ilhamy — Emine Valide Pasha — to its transfer and later use. It survives as the Egyptian Consulate-General in Istanbul.
Source note: dynastic provenance is strong; exact rebuilding date and architect attribution remain conflicted across secondary sources.
