Hatice Sultan Palace
A lost or transformed Bosphorus residence of Sultan Selim III's sister Hatice Sultan.
The Story
Hatice Sultan's waterfront palace belonged to the celebrated late Ottoman tradition of imperial women's sahilsarays and yalıs along the Bosphorus. Its importance lies both in dynastic residence and in the development of a court culture increasingly oriented toward the waterfront.
