RPR-TUR-027 · IMPERIAL PRINCESS PALACE
Nazime Sultan Palace
A lost Art Nouveau dynastic residence at Kuruçeşme.
The Story
Nazime Sultan's palace was among the most distinctive late Ottoman princess residences. Architectural research identifies it as a work associated with Raimondo D'Aronco and dates the mature building to the early twentieth century. It combined dynastic waterfront residence with the new Art Nouveau vocabulary entering Istanbul.
Loss
The palace was demolished in 1923, making it an important Lost Palace record rather than a surviving heritage property.
