RPR-TUR-037 · LOST IMPERIAL PRINCESS PALACE
Neşetabad Waterfront Palace
A lost Ortaköy–Defterdarburnu palace landscape that passed to Hatice Sultan.
Nevşehirli Damat İbrahim Pasha created Neşetabad at Defterdarburnu in 1725–1726. Selim III later gave the property to his sister Hatice Sultan, who developed a celebrated waterfront palace there. Abdülhamid II later demolished the old palace and replaced it with new princess residences.
Neşetabad is therefore both a lost palace and a parent site for later dynastic buildings.
