Abdülhamid II — Ottoman sultan / ruler

Association from the existing catalogue; historical review pending.

Visitor Information — Checked 9 October 2026

Yıldız became the principal residence and administrative centre of Sultan Abdülhamid II during his reign, 1876–1909. Its ensemble of government buildings, family quarters, gardens and workshops differs from a single palace block. The historic outer garden is now Yıldız Park; access to the park should not be confused with admission to palace interiors.
