Noble & Elite Palaces of Turkey — 16th–early 20th centuries

Historical focus: 16th–early 20th centuries. Dates describe the main subject, not the publication date; later afterlives may also appear.

Historic palaces of pashas, viziers and elite households that must not be confused with residences of the Ottoman dynasty.

Why a Separate Registry?

A genuine Ottoman palace is not automatically a royal palace. Turkey contains residences of grand viziers, pashas, diplomats and elite households whose architecture may be palatial but whose provenance is not dynastic.
