Manoir de Belle-Rivière
Canada → Quebec → Mirabel → 8106 rue de Belle-Rivière
The Sulpicians built this manor in 1804 alongside a mill and grain store. Its role needs qualification: the miller was the principal resident, while the seigneurial bursar stayed periodically to collect dues. Even after selling the estate in 1876, the Sulpicians reserved annual lodging rights; they finally left in 1911. This is therefore a residence connected to ecclesiastical seigneurial administration, not a royal palace or an aristocratic family seat. The stone house was altered during the nineteenth century. The separate grain store is not counted as another residence. A provincial restoration grant to Mirabel in 2021 documents continued public investment in its conservation.
Visiting
The city lists the manor on its map, but the sources reviewed do not establish a current public opening schedule, interior tours or access to the grounds. Municipal ownership and restoration funding alone do not confirm visitor admission. Consult the city before planning a visit.
