Manoir Couillard-Dupuis
Canada → Quebec → Montmagny → 301 boulevard Taché Est
Jean-Baptiste Couillard-Dupuy, seigneur on the right bank of the Rivière-du-Sud, commissioned this residence. The municipality dates it to 1798, while the provincial register uses approximately 1800. The timber manor was built in stages, with an eastern addition around 1835. Its steep roof and small-paned windows retain the character of an older French building tradition. Interior modernization means that the museum should not be described as an untouched seigneurial household. Since 1992 it has housed the Musée de l’accordéon. A protected bread oven stands separately: it is an associated service structure, not a second residence in this catalogue.
Visiting
The Musée de l’accordéon provides public access to the manor; tourism information lists a mid-June to mid-October season. Confirm the next opening dates and admission arrangements with the museum. Exhibitions cover musical instruments and the history of the manor. Festival schedules and free-entry offers apply only to their stated events, not automatically to the whole season.
