Manoir François-Pierre-Boucher

Canada → Quebec → Boucherville → 468–470 boulevard Marie-Victorin

Built in 1741 by Michel Huet dit Dulude for François-Pierre Boucher de Boucherville, this stone residence housed three successive seigneurs: François-Pierre, René-Amable and Pierre-Amable. Its steep roof and firewalls express the influence of urban architecture on a country seat. Alterations in 1841 introduced a marble fireplace and decorative mouldings. The house was divided into two dwellings in 1914 and later restored. The provincial record identifies this building at 468–470 boulevard Marie-Victorin; it must not be merged with other Boucher family houses solely because their names resemble one another.
