Manoir Fraser
Canada → Quebec → Rivière-du-Loup
The house originated with Timothy Donohue on land conceded in 1829. Alexandre Fraser bought it in 1834 and made it his seigneurial home. Later generations reshaped the property; the provincial register records William Fraser’s enlargement campaign in 1888. The museum presents a family residence that changed over time, not a single frozen construction date. Its history also offers a way to understand the relationship between a seigneurial household and the development of Rivière-du-Loup.
Visiting
The operator’s 2026 schedule lists low-season opening from 8 September, Tuesday–Sunday, 13:00–17:00. Group visits require reservations. Confirm holiday closures and the applicable season before travelling; the earlier daily summer timetable should not be used for an autumn visit.
